The Texas State Wild Rice Geo-bowl team won first place at the Fall 2019, SWAAG conference in Fort Worth, Texas hosted by Texas Christian University. This year’s team was led by captain Joshua Hodge. Walter Furness, Maël Le Noc, Eric Wilson, Sean Companion, and Nina Garcia rounded out the team. After going 4-1 in the round robin stage, Texas State faced off against Oklahoma State in the final, avenging their only loss in the first round by winning 135-75. This is the fourth consecutive year that Texas State has won the SWAAG Geo-bowl and the last for team captain Joshua Hodge, who also placed second in the individual points competition. Well done, team!
