Supporting Women in Geography (SWIG)* has hit the ground running this school year, kicked off by a great turnout for the fall semester’s inaugural meeting. Under the watchful eye of faculty advisor Dr. Sarah Blue, SWIG’s officers were elected by the members in attendance. Newly minted Co-Presidents Callie High and Priyanjali Bose (pictured above) will be leading the charge this go-round, bringing fun and educational activities directly to your bobcat calendar. These events will range from Putt Pub evenings to volunteer opportunities and faculty panels, so be sure to keep tabs or become a member of this stellar Texas State Organization.
You can reach out to Callie (cnh88@txstate.edu) or Priyanjeli (priyanjali.bose1@txstate.edu) with any questions!
* (SWIG is an official organization in the Texas State Geography Department that acknowledges that women are a minority in the Geography department, and believes it is important to bring that to light.)
